The 14 carat gold case engraved with the Astor family crest to the sprung front cover, having repeat slide and chronograph button in the band, inner gold cuvette and inscribed inside the back cover, 'To Waldorf with love from Nancy 3.3.1933', (presumably Nancy Astor) The white enamel dial with black Arabic hour numerals, outer chapter showing fifths of seconds, offset seconds dial at '9' and 30 minute register at '3', having blued steel spade pattern hands. The gilt, fully jewelled chronograph movement with repeat train sounding the hours, quarters and minutes on two polished steel gongs. Date: Circa 1933 Diameter: 53 mm Price £4,900
