The 18 carat rose gold case with exquisitely engraved hinged back depicting two cherubs at play in a wooded landscape. The unusual gold, engine turned dial with offset Roman numerals below, subsidiary seconds above and having blued steel 'Breguet' hands. The key wound, two train movement with cylinder escapement, both trains retaining their original stopwork. The music is produced via a series of tines which are impulsed via a rotating, pinned disc. The tune plays on the hour or at will.
Due to their exceptional complexity, miniature musical watches are extremely rare.
